Located in Clarksburg, West Virginia, The Wonder Bar Steakhouse has grown from a small intimate dance hall to a historic location that fosters a warm, traditional steakhouse feel. In 1946, John and Betty Folio opened the doors of The Wonder Bar Steakhouse for the first time. From the restaurant's inception to late 2012, The Wonder Bar Steakhouse remained in the Folio family. It was later passed down to John and Betty's son, John Jr. - known by many as "GeGe," and then to John and Betty's daughter, Debbie, and her husband Mickey Cherubino in 2002. The restaurant remained and continued growing under the ownership of the Folio/Cherubino family. In 2012, current owner Daniel Watts, along with local businessmen and brothers, Manny and David Alvarez, purchased the location.
Under the new ownership, The Wonder Bar Steakhouse has undergone both an internal and external facelift with additions including a new, state of the art kitchen, rough cut stone façade, stunning cedar beam entrance, expanded indoor dining space, multiple private rooms, outside fire pit area and breathtaking outdoor dining patio.
Due to the expansion and success of The Wonder Bar Steakhouse from generation to generation, we’ve received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2013, 2014 & 2015 based on our customers' reviews as well as receiving Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence for 2014, 2015 & 2016 for our expansive wine list offering wines from every corner of the globe.
